Johnshaven is a small fishing village with a picturesque working harbour lying approximately 14 miles south of Stonehaven and approximately 29 miles south of Aberdeen. Lathallan Preparatory School is on the outskirts of the village, while within the village itself there is a primary school, village grocery store, post office, one hotel, Lobster Shop and yearly fish festival. More shops and amenities are available in Inverbervie 3 miles away. The village was also recently included in the BBC programme ‘Villages By the Sea’ with Ben Robinson.

From the direction of Aberdeen travel South on the A90 dual carriageway passing Stonehaven taking the turn off for the A92 Coastal Route signposted Montrose. Follow the A92 through Kinneff and Inverbervie and towards Johnhaven. Turn left into the village and continue down towards the harbour. Take a left turn onto Castle Street opposite the shop where the Church Development is located on the right hand side.
