As part of the firm’s 25th anniversary in 2025, staff and partners have been leading fundraising initiatives to support the efforts of three distinct charities helping people across the Northeast & beyond.
AberNeccesities, Friends of Anchor & Sarcoma UK are each set to receive a £6000 donation from andersonbainLLP to support the essential work that all three charities do on a daily basis to improve people’s lives.
AberNecessities provides disadvantaged families with the essential and basic necessities that no child should go without. From nappies and formula milk for babies, to clothing, toys and equipment for children aged 0-18 years, the charity works tirelessly to ensure that the basic needs of a child are met. Currently 24% of children living in Aberdeen are living in poverty, meaning the need for AberNecessities has never been greater.

Friends of Anchor is a charity that supports people in the north of Scotland who are affected by cancer or a blood disorder. The ANCHOR Unit is a collective of specialised wards and clinics within Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. Their founding aim was, and remains to this day, to provide the best possible treatment, care and support to patients.
Paul Flecher Herd, Partner at andersonbain said “Whether you helped organise events, took part, donated, or supported in other ways, your contribution has made a real difference and will have a meaningful impact on each of these charities. A tremendous team effort – thank you all very much!”
